Chromebook Fees and Guidelines
The Vigo County School Corporation provides each student with a Chromebook. This device is the property of the VCSC. The VCSC asks families to help protect and care for the investment of our Chromebooks. The purpose of the Chromebook is to provide each student access to required educational materials needed to promote and enhance learning.
Chromebook Fees and Guidelines
1. Repair Fees:
- We will not charge Chromebook repair fees this year.
2. Deliberate Damage Fee:
- A fee of $50 will be charged for deliberate damage to Chromebooks. This will be determined and assessed by the building administrators.
3. Chromebooks Lost or Damaged Beyond Repair:

For lost Chromebooks or Chromebooks damaged beyond repair, charges will be assessed according to the age of the Chromebook.
- Year 1: $350
- Year 2: $262.50
- Year 3: $175
- Year 4: $87.50
4. Replacement Charger:
- A replacement charger may be purchased from the Treasurer's office for $15.
5. Chromebook Assignment:
- With Chromebooks, each student will retain the same device for its entire lifecycle. If a Chromebook is sent for repair, it will be returned to the student who originally had it once it comes back to the school from repair.
